Valued Erie Intermediate Families,

Becoming the Principal of Erie Intermediate and leading the Erie Intermediate Family is a journey I am excited to begin.  Being a lifelong Ashtabula resident, I would like to thank the board of education and superintendent for giving me this opportunity to make a positive difference in my hometown and be a part of an outstanding school system.  Our staff and students will feel my passion for Erie Intermediate and all of AACS.

The entire Erie Educational Team will set the bar high for each student and intervene if the need arises.  The 2023-24 school year will be filled with activities and academics.  We ask for all of our Dragon Families for assistance with this important journey we will be going on this entire school year.

Communication will be one of our building goals for this school year, as we will do this via web site, social media, all-calls, newsletters, emails, along with personal contacts from the office and classrooms.  Please keep this two-way dialog the highest of priorities as all of our year depends on communication.  We need to be on the same page moving forward.
Good Attendance is another goal for all of us…adults and students.  We will strive for a positive climate, which we all want to be a part of, with attendance being the utmost importance.  When students miss, their potential will not be met let alone achieve.  When staff misses, the cohesiveness of the building is interrupted.  Therefore, we all need to make it a point to be an active participant every day we are healthy enough to do so.

We look forward to what a new school year brings and are prepared to work together through challenges and celebrate success as an entire Erie Family.  Please feel free to email or call me with any questions or concerns as the year progresses.

Educationally,
Patricia E. Craft:  Erie Intermediate Principal 440-992-1260

Dear Erie Families,

Hello and welcome to the 2023-2024 school year! I am excited to announce that I will be joining Erie Intermediate this school year as Assistant Elementary Campus Principal! I am starting my 23 year with Ashtabula Area City Schools. Many of you may recognize me from our preschool program where I was blessed to teach our littlest dragons! I am excited and looking forward to seeing all of the former preschoolers and how much they have grown and changed over the years. I am also very excited to help them achieve their very best this school year.

I am a lifelong resident and proud graduate of Ashtabula High School.  After high school, I obtained my bachelor’s degree from Lake Erie College in the area of early childhood education.  After receiving my bachelor’s I went back to school to earn my education of the handicapped endorsement and my master’s degree from Kent State University. I hold a master’s degree in the area of early childhood education intervention specialist.  My final certification is from Youngstown State University for my principal’s license.

I am looking forward to getting to know each of you and helping everyone to have a safe, educational, and fun school year. I am here to help if you have any questions or concerns.

Go Dragons!
