Hello Erie Band and Orchestra Families!

Students have their Spring Concert TOMORROW (Friday, May 20th)!! The concert will begin at 2:30pm in the Erie Cafetorium, and is expected to last until about 3:15.

Apologies for all the changes of plan and any inconvenience it has caused; families are invited to attend in person! But we are limiting attendance to TWO guests per musician. Unfortunately there is not unlimited space in the cafetorium.

Students are welcome to leave with their families at the end of the concert, as long as they are signed outl

A few other minor details:
Performers are asked to dress nice, in springy colors if possible :)
Performers will receive a small sweet treat following the concert as a reward for all their hard work. I am aware of a few dietary restrictions, but if you have any concerns please let me know.

Those who are borrowing a school instrument will leave it at the school with me directly following the concert - please do not take these home over the summer. Conversely, those who own or rent their own instruments should take them home after the concert - do not leave these at the school over the summer!

Please let me know if I can answer any more questions. We look forward to sharing our hard work with you!

Erie Intermediate Students Participate in Poetry Cafe

The students in Mrs. Aponte’s 6th grade ELA class at Erie Intermediate school participated in a Poetry Cafe for National Poetry Month. The students read poems to find one that spoke to them, wrote it in their poetry notebook, practiced reading it and took to the “stage” to perform for their classmates who were enjoying some cafe treats.
